Going to movies alone has been one of my tactics for attaining normalcy since back when I was living in New Orleans and it seemed to be a very fitting thing to do on Christmas Eve since all of the bars in walking distance from my apartment were closed and my Netflix instant queue was getting somewhat stale.
I chose to catch a late showing of The Fighter at The Chase Park Plaza and being that I’ve had a mad crush on Ms. Amy Adams since her days of peddling handbags on The Office, this was a fantastic choice.
Aside from this being a great movie — Christian Bale was exceptional as a crack addict ex-boxer — Amy Adams was a total badass. And while I very much appreciated the gratuitous lingerie scenes, I most enjoyed watching her beat the living crap out of one of Mark Wahlberg’s sisters. Bam! I never would have guessed that this shopaholic would have that kind of a right jab.

First of all, The Fighter was an awesome movie. Glad hubs dragged me to the movies to see it. I’ve always loved Amy Adams and she kicked ass in this role, part trailer trash, part college girl, 100% fiesty bitch. I love it!
Hell yeah. Her feisty-ness was ridiculously awesome.
